Welcome to 'The Nest'. A genuine tree house up a tree, located in the Blackdown Hills 'The Nest' provides a unique holiday, especially for anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic break or somewhere unusual to celebrate a special occasion. Situated within mature woodland 'The Nest' is reached after following a delightful 90 metre walk along a woodland path. Access to the two roomed tree house is gained via a spiral staircase which is lit with solar fairy lights at night. It has a well equipped kitchen with gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs, also a sofa and a full double bed. There are games and books supplied and a TV/DVD player, all you need for a memorable holiday together. The wood burning stove keeps the well insulated 'Nest' snug and warm while you relax. The bathroom has an enclosed gas heated hot shower with sink (hot & cold) and flushing toilet. Towels and bedding are all provided. No tree house would be complete without a balcony and this one is lovely as it sits up high in the canopy surrounded by the branches of neighbouring trees, close enough to see wildlife and still bask in the day's sunlight, a great spot for al fresco meals, morning coffee or simply to read a book. Setting out from 'The Nest' you could explore on foot by walking within the Blackdown Hills, try fishing, horse riding, gliding or flying, and even dance lessons all close by, with the Jurassic coast, Lyme Bay, Sidmouth, Taunton and Exeter all within easy driving distance. There are many pubs and restaurants local to 'The Nest'. Sorry unsuitable for children or pets. No smokers.
