The Space:

The Yurt has a bathhouse attached to the yurt platform, with shower AND a luxury corner bath with a fabulous view!
Hot & Cold water in the bathhouse, compost loo AND the main Yurt.
Total off-grid luxury!
Within the Yurt itself:
Kingsize Double Bed with memory-foam mattress, and a double sofa bed to sleep another 2 people if required.
Wood-burner for colder nights, but in the warmer months it probably won't be needed. {logs are available on site at a modest extra charge}
Triple insulated Yurt roof/dome which keeps the heat in in colder weather.
Outer walls of the Yurt can be rolled down in hot weather to allow air circulation if needed.
12 Volt LED lights for the darker evenings.
2-ring Calor Gas cooking burner & small grill.
Hot & Cold running water to the sink.

Our location is off the beaten track, and very quiet and peaceful - ideal for escaping from the crowds ... an oasis of calm, easily reachable by road or we can collect you from our local station (Gunnislake - last station on the very picturesque "Tamar Valley Line" from Plymouth main railway station http://greatscenicrailways.co.uk/lines/tamar-valley-line/ ... 10 minutes away by car) . . . Plymouth links direct to London Paddington.
A unique and tranquil location in which to relax and let your cares evaporate, yet within easy drivable reach of N and S Cornish coastal favourites and all the other inland spots. The now world-famous Eden Project is just an hour away.

Guest access:

There is a ~200 metre walk to the Yurt from the car parking area... this is over grassland, and can be a little muddy in wet conditions. We have wheelbarrows to help with taking guests' luggage from the car parking area to the Yurt.

Interaction with guests:

This is entirely guests' personal choice ... after we've shown you around, you can be left completely alone, as if on a personal retreat, or can interact with us if you wish - entirely at the your own discretion. . . but someone is always around to help with anything or answer questions if needed.
"Wild Plant Walks" can be arranged with our resident expert Lea 'Meadowman' - Lea will walk you around the Hill and show you some of the lost wonders of medicinal Herbs & Plants {a small additional charge for this can be negotiated with Lea in person}

The neighbourhood:

We are approximately 3 miles from the nearest villages/town for shopping supplies . . . we encourage people to use the village Post Office/shop in Stoke Climsland 2.5 miles away, and there are Tesco and Co-Op supermarkets in Callington 3 miles away on the other side of Kit Hill.

The location is arguably unique, facing stunning views of the Tamar Valley and Dartmoor, and our immediate neighbour the Kit Hill Country Park (with plenty of footpaths & bridleways to explore) is part of the beautiful Tamar Valley AONB {Area of outstanding Natural Beauty}.

We are more-or-less equidistant from the north & south coasts, and within easy driving distance of The Eden Project.

You can DIY with catering, or we can put visitors in touch with local suppliers of veg & food boxes - they will deliver, however their delivery days need to be checked to see if they match conveniently with the dates of your stay.

Getting around:

Public transport is limited, due to our rural location - own transport is preferable, but not absolutely essential, depending on requirements/motivations of visitors.
Mainline trains come to Plymouth from London Paddington, then change for the very scenic Tamar Valley Line which will take you to Calstock or Gunnislake, where we can arrange pickup if required, or there is a local Taxi service.
